My love/hate relationship with ice skating plus ONE day left to save $600!

January 1, 2016

I hope you all had an amazing holiday with family and friends last week. How will you be ringing in the New Year? Normally it's too cold in New York to go anywhere, so my husband and I rearrange our apartment, purge stuff we don't need, and set our intentions for the coming year. This year I think that in addition to that tradition, we are going to go ice skating in Central Park; which we haven't done since the first year we were dating.
I'm not great at ice skating. For the first half hour my calves are killing me, I'm afraid I'm going to hit someone or land on my ass, twist my knee, or some other horrific injury that my brain's fight or flight response has cooked up. What if my body doesn't remember what to do? And then by the end of the night, I'm whizzing around the rink , looking at all the beautiful, historic buildings that surround the park, watching twilight fall in NYC, being aware of my connection to the ice and enjoying these moments with my husband.
This is a microcosm of life- especially a fertility journey. We spend so much time freaking out , fearing the worst about what "might" be that we miss all the beautiful things around us and the connections that are most important- the very things that actually lead us to what we want. Then we have a laugh at our earlier selves, realizing we were actually fine the whole time.
Know that you're fine. All the time. Even when you think you're not. Our brain gets stuck in this loop of what could happen, and that's always scarier than what actually IS happening. Once we can step back and realize that where we are now isn't where we're going to be forever, the faster we're able to move forward. Your body remembers how to ride a bike, to ice skate. It also knows how to get your baby here. Make a New Year's resolution to trust your body. Work with it instead of fighting against it.

And just a reminder that you have until midnight tomorrow night, Dec 31st to lock in 2015 prices for work in 2016. Save $600! If you feel like you've tried everything and nothing has worked, If you know you something needs to shift but you're not sure what, If you refuse to give up on your dream of being a mom, If you are willing to do the work- email me today.
You can do this mama. I can help show you how.
Happy New Year!
Lots of Love,
A'ndrea
