So many times when I'm talking to my clients and asking them questions about their blocks, the favorite go-to answer seems to be: "I don't know". They know they're stuck, but can't put their finger on why. Believe me, I get it, I've done it too. But it doesn't get us very far, and we keep going around in circles instead of moving forward. This is where the difference between THINKING and FEELING/KNOWING comes in. When we are "thinking" the answer, this is where our well meaning brain (that's there to keep you alive and is NOT a gambler) starts throwing all these reasons why you can't move forward. It knows you can survive as you are now, it doesn't know you can survive outside of your comfort zone. So it will send all these scary thoughts to keep you where you are (safe and alive) like : I'm too old to start the career I want, or I'll always have this back pain; or I'll never be able to get pregnant. It's completely fear driven and unfortunately so many people freak themselves out that they never get to step into the life that they want. So we want to try to get to the point where we can seperate the fear of what "could" happen from what actually IS. And to do this we need to plug back into our intuition and back into our bodies. Most of us are so disconnected from our bodies, it's like we are just driving these carcasses around from our heads. We all have the ability to tap into our intuition. Most of us have had glimpses of it at points throughout our lives, but we really want to try to find a way to tap into it more because that's where the "knowing" happens. In this state, there's no fear, no "what-if", and we can see things a lot more clearly. Take a second to close your eyes, drop into your body and ask, "What do I need to know about the cause of ______?" And just breathe and see what answer comes up. The first few times you do it maybe nothing happens, but I promise, the more you do, the more you can make decisions that are not based in fear, or "what if". And it makes you realize that you get to create what you want in your life. No physical condition is permanent unless you accept it. So when you're looking for these answers about where you might be blocked, try to go beyond "I don't know". What would you say if you DID know? Be gentle with yourself and approach it from an exploratory place without attachment. You never know what epiphanies you could have. Now granted it's much easier when you have an outside eye. It's hard to see your own stuff- the deep stuff. and that's what I'm here for.
